GEL BATTERIES
East Penn’s maintenance-free sealed gel batteries can be used interchangeably with flooded deep cycle batteries in many cycling applications. Their spill-proof properties, even when punctured, significantly reduce the risk of injury to people and equipment if an accident occurs. Popular applications include golf cars, electric wheelchairs and scooters, floor scrubbers, material handling, renewable energy and emergency backup power (UPS).
AGM BATTERIES 
East Penn manufactures an extensive line of absorbed glass mat (AGM) batteries for starting, dual purpose and deep cycle applications. They can be substituted for almost any flooded battery application and are recommended for demanding cycling or extended power draws. AGM batteries have become popular among OEMs for automotive and commercial vehicles due to the growing electrical demands being placed on vehicle electrical systems.
FLOODED BATTERIES 
East Penn manufactures one of the most complete lines of flooded starting, cycling and dual purpose batteries available in North America. Flooded batteries, as well as other lead battery designs, are also one of the most recycled consumer products on the planet.
STAIRLIFT BATTERIES
Stair lift batteries are typically two 12V 7Ah or 9Ah Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries, commonly wired in series to power a 24V DC motor. These rechargeable batteries usually last 2–5 years, providing continuous operation even during power outages.
HOYER LIFT BATTERIES
Hoyer lifts typically use 24V DC rechargeable battery packs, which are usually composed of two sealed lead-acid (SLA) or Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) 12-volt cells. These are frequently quick-release packs that are either 12V 18Ah (for larger lifts) or smaller 12V 2.9Ah/3.2Ah batteries used in series.
